The final meeting

סטודנטיות וסטודנטים מבית ספר לאודר לממשל, דיפלומטיה ואסטרטגיה וממכללת אל-קאסמי שבבאקה-אל גרבייה התכנסו באונברסיטת רייכמן, למפגש המסכם של הפרויקט "נפגשים לדבר". במסגרת המפגש ובהנחייתו של מר אריק סגל, התדיינו הסטודנטים בשאלות של זהות ותרבות ומשמעות חיים משותפים בישראל. נקודת שיא של המפגש היתה הצגת הפרוייקט הסופי על ידי הסטודנטים, עליו עבדו במהלך התוכנית: תוכנית מפורטת לאוניברסיטת "גשר לשלום", האוניברסיטה הערבית-יהודית הראשונה בישראל.

התכבדנו לארח במפגש את שגריר גרמניה בישראל, השגריר שטפן זייברט, שחלק עם הסטודנטים מניסיונו על דרכים לשיפור יחסים ושיתופי פעולה בין תרבותיים.  

Students from Reichman University and Al-Qasemi College in Baqa el-Gharbiyye came together at Reichman University for the Concluding Session of the Campus Encounters Program. During the session, facilitated by Mr. Arik Segal, the students engaged in profound discourse on issues of identity, culture, and coexistence in Israel. The highlight of the event was the students’ presentation of their final project—a detailed plan for the “Bridge to Peace” University, envisioned as the first Arab-Jewishuniversity in Israel.

We were privileged to have Germany’s Ambassador to Israel, Amb. Steffen Seibert, join us at the meeting, where he graciously shared with the students his experiences and insights on ways to improve cross-cultural relations and cooperation.
