The leadership program for Reichman University students from the Ethiopian community provides a unique opportunity for Ethiopian candidates with high leadership potential to earn an undergraduate degree at RU. The program is the brainchild of Israel at Heart founder Joey Low, Prof. Uriel Reichman Founding President and Chairperson of the Board of Directors, Reichman University, former Minister of Education Prof. Amnon Rubinstein, and RU's Vice President for External Relations and Head of the Raphael Recanati International School Jonathan Davis.

What we provide?


The program provides participants with a full scholarship as well as a stipend, enabling them to focus fully on and succeed in their undergraduate studies. In addition, participants receive a laptop. Furthermore, students in the program receive guidance and tutoring in the social, personal, and academic spheres, which includes an emphasis on learning the English language. In their final year of studies, students participate in career placement seminars. Outstanding students may be offered professional internships abroad.

Program's Goal


The program aims to provide participating students with leadership skills and prepare them for key positions in Israeli society. The students in the program are veterans of combat units and national service programs who have demonstrated personal excellence and distinctive talents.

Who is the program designed for?


  • Students with a complete matriculation certificate, including four units in math and English with a grade of 80 or above.
  • Veterans of IDF combat units, IDF officers, or candidates who made a significant contribution by performing national service.
  • Candidates with leadership skills.
  • Highly motivated candidates who are determined to succeed in their studies.
