This loan opportunity is intended for GTA Jewish students enrolled at universities and colleges. The money can be used for tuition, living and school expenses. 0% interest loans are available to full and part-time students who are citizens or permanent residents of Canada.

The Foundation grants with scholarships to Danish students for studies at universities and other institutions of higher education in Israel. The application is due December 31st.
Financial aid for students is intended to provide an income to financially needy students whose parents are not under obligation to finance their studies and who are not eligible for aid under some other provisions. Financial aid is provided in the form of the following benefits: Study Grant, Housing Supplement and government guarantee for student loans.
The fund promotes the stay in Israel of French students wishing to complete their studies. This scholarship will be awarded in consideration of the quality of the studies pursued and the financial status of applicants.
Dutch immigrants and their descendants fund works closely with the Association of Jews from Holland, distributed annually for scholarships to students.

The South African Zionist Federation (Israel), known as Telfed, support SA students who made Aliya and award them with educational scholarship from funds that have been donated by the public to assist students residing and studying in Israel.
CSN are working to determine and pay the Swedish student financial aid, grants and loans for those studying in Sweden and abroad. Study assistance consists of grants and loans. You also have the opportunity to borrow money for extra costs such as tuition fees, travel and insurance.
US citizen students enrolled in degree-seeking programs are eligible to apply for FAFSA Loans- (subsidized, unsubsidized, and/or plus loans) as part of the Direct Loans program of the US Department of Education. Reichman University students are not eligible for FAFSA grants or Pell as students studying at an international university.
Students may also be eligible to apply for Sallie Mae loans.

The American Jewish League (AJLI) for Israel has a unique University Scholarship program that awards qualified American students with partial scholarship grants toward a year of study at one of Israel's prestigious Universities.
The application must be submitted in its entirely by April 30, 2024 to be considered.
The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) offers a number of educational assistance programs for veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces and their dependents. Reichman University is a verified school through the VA and we are listed under the Raphael Recanati International School in the VA database. Member organizations of the International Association of Jewish Free Loans provide interest-free loans to help with a variety of financial needs. Eligibility and loan programs vary, contact your local agency for more information.
Provides interest-free, cost-free loans to Jewish permanent residents of Northern California. Loans are available to help participants pay for tuition, program costs, travel expenses, and more. Northern California residents, as well as students from Northern California who are attending universities outside of the region, are eligible to apply.
Boren Scholarships promote long term linguistic and cultural immersion, and therefore study abroad proposals for two or more semesters are strongly encouraged. Preference will be given to undergraduate applicants proposing a at least 6 months overseas. Boren-funded programs can begin no earlier than June 1. Summer-only programs must be eight (8) weeks or more and are limited to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) students. Boren Scholarships are awarded with preference for countries, languages, and fields of study critical to U.S. national security. Preference is also given to students who will study abroad for longer periods of time, and who are highly motivated by the opportunity to work in the federal government. As we cannot list all countries, languages, and fields that are critical to U.S. national security, we are interested in applications that fall outside the preferences, if the candidate can make a compelling case that such study can contribute significantly to U.S. national security and the goals of the program.

The Ambassadorial Scholarships look to further international understanding and friendly relations among people of different countries and geographical areas. The program sponsors several types of scholarships for undergraduates and graduate students and professionals pursuing vocational studies.

The Julie and Ed Levy Jr. Endowed Fund for Scholarships for Student Leaders Studying in Israel offers scholarships for academic study in Israel and for enrichment activities for students at MSU before, during, or after study in Israel.
Masa’s Product Development Department manages all existing programs and develops new programs to meet the constantly changing needs and interests of young Jewish communities around the world. Masa Academic: Masa Academic Fellows is a study abroad program that combines the academic excellence of Israel’s top universities with hands-on internship experience in the Israeli workplace. Fellows can choose between a co-op model and an academic semester with a summer internship. While in Israel, they have the opportunity to participate in leadership development training designed to help them stimulate and lead necessary conversations related to Judaism and Israel upon returning to their home communities. Please note, Masa is an independent initiative and therefore its criteria for evaluating scholarship requests may differ from those used to evaluate requests for the Raphael Recanati International School scholarships.

HIAS supports new immigrants from all countries. The scholarship awarded upon excellency, financial background and community service. Second year students can apply online.
The Government of Israel helps with tuition for an undergraduate degree for new Olim under the age of 27 and the cost of a graduate degree for new Olim under the age of 30 (provided the Oleh does not already have this degree from abroad and that the program that you choose is recognized by Minhal HaStudentim).

IMPACT's scholarship program is open to former Israeli combat soldiers (rank that is lower than captain סר"ן), who are Israel’s future leaders. The scholarship is a needs based scholarship for soldiers that have completed full army service, beginning his/her first or second year of studies. Recipients are required to complete 130 hours of community service each year of their scholarship.

HESEG Foundation provides full academic scholarships and living expenses to qualified applicants. Preference will be given to candidates who are recognized by HESEG as lone soldiers, who have come to Israel to volunteer in the IDF. This is a loan soldier's scholarship for first year students, applicants will need to show certificates of Excellency.

As a result of a growing number of foundations looking to provide scholarships and grants to the general population of ex-servicemen, the Gruss Fund has chosen to focus its scholarship program on particular target groups such as lone soldiers, residents of the periphery, haredi ex-sevicemen, minorities and new immigrants. The Fund gives out some 3,500 grants each year. Seventy percent of these are for first time recipients, and the rest go to beneficiaries who have requested additional assistance. The majority of the beneficiaries take part in volunteer programs in the fields of education and society, which serve as an additional framework that accompanies the beneficiary during the period of his/her studies. The volunteer activities of the beneficiaries within their communities in the periphery contribute to the development of an involved local leadership.

The Raphael Recanati International school offers needs based scholarships to students in need.
The application will be available online from March 31st , 2024 via the candidate/student Information Station (MYRUNI).
• First year/new students can apply until November 1st, 2024.
• Continuing students starting their second and third year can apply until August 1st, 2024.
• Students who study at the RRIS but were born and raised in Israel should apply for the scholarships through the Israeli scholarship department.
Applicants will be asked to provide information in regards to their needs and to attach relevant documents (pay slips, apartment lease, etc.). All documents should be included when submitting the application, in order for your request for the scholarship to be reviewed.
FAQ:
A. Who may apply for the RRIS Needs-Based Scholarship?
• Every RRIS student who has resided abroad until the beginning of the academic year or has resided in Israel for less than 5 years.
• RRIS Students who made Aliya and have been living in Israel for less than 5 years (not including army service).
• Continuing RRIS students who have already received the RRIS scholarship in previous year(s) may still apply for the needs-based scholarship, even if by now they have been living in Israel for more than 5 years (not including army service).
B. Who may NOT apply for the scholarship?
• Students who do not pay full tuition because they are part-time students or exchange students who pay tuition via their home university.
• Students whose rent is higher than the rent of the Dorms.
• Students whose studies extend beyond the required 3 years.
• Students who own a car or an apartment.
• Students who have not completed their community service (volunteer hours) for their current scholarship.
• Students who failed more than 3 courses or have a grade average below 60.
• Students who have been found guilty by the Reichman University Disciplinary Committee.
C. Which documentation is mandatory in order to submit the application?
• A detailed letter explaining who you are, your expected arrival date in Israel, the financial background of your parents, your relationship with them, and reasons for this application (minimum 1 full page and maximum two pages).
• Student Aid Report from FAFSA, MANDATORY for students from the USA.
• A copy of current apartment lease agreement in Israel signed by both landlord and student, which indicates amount of monthly rent. If you live in the Reichman University dorms please upload the first and the last page of the agreement.
If you are still abroad and don't have a lease agreement yet , please upload an explanatory PDF in which you provide the maximum amount you intend to spend on rent and provide the actual signed lease agreement asap.
• Student’s bank statements for the past three months, from your home country and from Israel.
If you don't have a bank account, please upload an explanatory PDF why you don't have one and how you manage without.
• Student's salary slips for the past three months.
If you don't have salary slips, please upload an explanatory PDF instead.
• Parents’ bank statements for the past three months (from all bank accounts they may have).
• Both parents’ salary slips from the past three months or parents’ unemployment/pension documentation (as applicable).
• Parent's tax return/tax form for the last tax year.
• If student is married, bank statements and salary slips of spouse, as requested above.
• Please note:
- All amounts in the scholarship application should be in U.S Dollars (only the new immigrant and army service section are in NIS).
- For Canadian and Australian students please note that you have to fill out the application in USD!
D. Can I apply for a scholarship if I didn't apply last year or if my request from last year was rejected?
• Yes, the application is open to all students who meet the criteria listed above.
Please be advised that the RRIS Needs-Based Scholarship complements any other grants, bursaries or scholarships you may have. If you are eligible for a Student Authority Grant, HESEG, IMPACT or other grants; and/or if your home country provides special student loans, grants or scholarships, you are expected to pursue these options before applying for the RRIS Needs-Based Scholarship.
It is the policy of Reichman University to support students in need, however, please take into consideration that the funds are limited and are allocated on a needs basis.
Please remember that the earlier you submit your application, the sooner you will have an answer and be better able to financially plan your next academic year.

RRIS Needs Based Scholarship Regulations
Please note: If, as a student at Reichman University, you have been found guilty of a disciplinary offense by the Disciplinary Committee, you are not eligible to apply for an Reichman University scholarship of any kind.
Reichman University is dedicated to encouraging excellence in general and academic excellence in particular. Therefore, we aspire to attract outstanding lecturers and students to our ranks.
Outstanding applicants to the Raphael Recanati International School might be granted a Merit Scholarship based on their previous academic achievements, equivalent to 50% of tuition for their first year of studies at Reichman University and will need to meet certain requirements in order to maintain the scholarship for an additional year.
The RRIS admission office will notify the relevant students. It is not possible to apply for the scholarship.
If you are receiving a scholarship from the Raphael Recanati International School, then you are required to volunteer in a community service project on or off campus.
How does volunteering work and what is the process?
1. Return the scholarship commitment form to the Financial Aid Office.
2. Find a place to volunteer from the list of organizations
3. Get the commitment form signed by the organization and then sign it yourself. Submit the commitment form to the Financial Aid Office at rris.volunteering@runi.ac.il
4. Start the volunteer work and every time you volunteer fill out the report sheet.
5. After you complete your hours, your report sheet needs to be signed and stamped by your volunteer organization and submitted to the Financial Aid Office - rris.volunteering@runi.ac.il
6. Submit a thank you letter to your donor for receiving your scholarship to the Financial Aid Office. The requirements for the letter will be sent to you in May.
