English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Unit

Reichman University's innovative approach to education is demonstrated in its English Language Unit, where courses prepare students in English for Purposes of International Communication (EPIC), not only for their academic studies, but also for their future careers.

Indeed, RU's English Unit has historically led the way among other Israeli academic institutions in focusing on our students’ communication skills - emphasizing academic and professional competency in reading, writing, listening and speaking. All English courses are aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Throughout the English courses, students participate in interactive activities and projects to build their English communication skill set.

The English courses include engagement with academic and professional texts (written and multimodal), designing and delivering oral presentations, and writing academic and professional genres. The advanced level courses are customized to the specific needs of each school and provide students with the tools necessary for their chosen discipline.

*In each of the courses students are expected to attend all the lessons, and the final grade is made up of the class grade (attendance, quizzes, homework) and the final examination grade.
