On December 5, 2022, Reichman University’s G City Real Estate Institute held one of a series of meetings on the subject of housing prices in Israel. The meeting, which was held online, featured Dr. Efrat Tolkowsky, CEO of the G City Real Estate Institute, and Nehama Bogin, founder and owner of Nehama Bogin Real Estate Appraisers.
In the meeting, data from the G City Institute's Index of Housing Prices (formerly the Gazit-Globe Institute's Index of Housing Prices) for the third quarter of 2022 were presented, and a discussion was held on the topic of housing prices in Israel. Among the topics discussed were the methodology employed by the G City Institute's Index, the differences between the G City Institute's Index and the Central Bureau of Statistics' housing price index, the volume of transactions used to create the index, trends in housing prices both at the national level and across different regions across Israel, and trends in interest rates.
