On September 4, 2023, Reichman University’s G City Real Estate Institute held one of a series of meetings on the subject of housing prices in Israel. The meeting, which was held online, featured Dr. Efrat Tolkowsky, CEO of the G City Real Estate Institute.
In the meeting, Dr. Tolkowsky presented data from the G City Institute's Index of Housing Prices (formerly the Gazit-Globe Institute's Index of Housing Prices) for the second quarter of 2023, and discussed trends in housing prices in Israel. Among the topics discussed were the methodology employed by the G City Institute's Index, the differences between the G City Institute's Index and the Central Bureau of Statistics' housing price index, the volume of transactions used to create the index, and trends in housing prices both at the national level and in different regions across Israel.
