The G City Real Estate Institute held one of a series of meetings on the subject “Housing Prices in Israel: First Quarter, 2022”
On May 30, 2022, Reichman University’s G City Real Estate Institute held one of a series of meetings on the subject of housing prices in Israel. During the meeting, which was held online, data from the G City Institute's Index of Housing Prices (formerly the Gazit-Globe Institute's Index of Housing Prices) for the first quarter of 2021 were presented, and a conversation was held between Dr. Efrat Tolkowsky, CEO of the G City Institute, and Dr. Yossi Yakhin, a senior economist in the research department of the Bank of Israel.
Among the topics discussed at the meeting were the methodology employed by the G City Institute's Index, the differences between the G City Institute's Index and the Central Bureau of Statistics' housing price index, the volume of transactions used to create the index, and trends in housing prices, both at the national level and in different regions across Israel.
