On June 22, 2020, Harry Radzyner Law School joined Osgoode Law School hosting the first virtual event “Bracing for Impact Webinar Series – COVID-19 Contact Tracing: Legal and Ethical Challenges” in collaboration with Microsoft Canada. The event took place virtually via Microsoft Teams in the format of a panel discussion featuring scholars from Israel and Canada. This was the first webinar of the series, where we discussed the potential challenges and legal and ethical concerns on the use of contact tracing to help contain COVID-19 outbreaks. In the Bracing for Impact: COVID-19 Webinar Series we continue the dialogue bringing together academic scholars, practitioners, and industry leaders from Canada and around the world including Israel and the EU. The series of events will explore critical issues in emerging technologies, data policy and governance strategies, with a focus on AI, blockchain, privacy, disruptive technology and tech innovation and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
