So how can you summarize..??

Allow me to introduce the Adelson School of Entrepreneurship delegation along with the University of Waterloo in Business program. A fantastic program that takes Israeli students and brings them together with Canadian students for a journey of almost three weeks in both countries, the essence of which is to promote business and entrepreneurial relations, create cultural learning as well and bring the Canadians together with the beautiful and good Land of Israel. Six Israeli students went to the program, as representatives of the university and the Adelson School of Entrepreneurship, very excited and very much looking forward to the program's start. When it happened that we split into pairs in different parts of the world and met at the envelope field in Toronto. From there we were taken to the unique and green Waterloo. The Israelis spent the first night alone until the next day all the Canadians arrived.

The next day we met the two senior students for the first time, and the connection was immediately felt. Nice, smart, and funny students.

We spent the initial four days with them in Waterloo, the student town that at that time was empty of students during the summer season. Of course, this did not stop us from enjoying ourselves. During the days we learned about different use cases and asked important questions and in the evenings the Canadians made sure to take him out and have fun. During our stay in Waterloo, we went to several places to experience strong Canadian entrepreneurship. We visited SDG, Accelerator, Lizaridis Institute, and Vidyard. I enjoyed it the most at SDG because I felt that the desire to help there is so strong, and at the same time they managed to be a strong and stable institution with business principles.

After the stay in Waterloo, we went to Toronto where we passed the time until the end of the trip. On Sunday we went to the Schwartz Reisman Foundation where we were encouraged to speak and raise questions to the students from the country corresponding to us on various issues that interest us, chief of which is the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Later in Toronto, we visited other companies, we visited the CNE. A major Canadian event. On this day we were surprised to know that even in summer in Canada you can find yourself in torrential rain. In my opinion, one of the best experiences is going to a major league baseball game for the first time  :)

After a great week in Canada, we packed our bags and flew straight to the good and familiar Dizengoff Square. We started our stay in Israel in Tel Aviv at the Cinema Hotel. Also in this part, we enjoyed being tourists in Israel and experiencing it through the eyes of those who visit here for the first time. We started the journey in the country with a tour of Jaffa and a meal of kings as only Jaffa knows how to offer. Canadians fell in love with the food immediately. In Israel, we had the opportunity to visit the "Achievement" fund, talking with two friends of our age who immigrated to Israel and told about their lives, at the Peres Center for Innovation, the Canadian Embassy, and more. Of course, we had to spend our free time in the hot sun and soft sand of Tel Aviv. To this day they send us pictures that miss the sea. We also visited Reichman University and heard very interesting lectures by Dr. Yossi Marabi, Mr. Ofir Reichman, and Mrs. Tali Ramon. After that, we visited Masada and the Dead Sea, slept in Kfar Haknodim, and bonded over the beauty of the area.

We did the rest of the journey in Jerusalem where the Canadians met in a new and different culture than what they had gotten to know until now. We visited the Western Wall, the Mount of Olives, the Jewish Muslim and Christian quarter, the Mahane Yehuda market, Yad Vashem, and more. For dinner we ate with a local family in Jerusalem and in the evening we went to spend time in the market. The timing was right to tell Jerusalem on Thursday evening :)

We spent the beginning of last week in Tel Aviv and learned about the Israeli entrepreneurial culture and met with Israeli entrepreneurs who told us about their ventures. The one night before the last we made sure to organize a special farewell for them and we gave them a surprise in Charles Clore Park, an exciting evening full of wine, food, and games.

In conclusion, we traveled, met, experienced, tasted, connected, and above all got to know people and cultures. I take from the Canadian culture the commitment and tolerance to the person with whom they speak, the professionalism and thoroughness in their work.

I would like to thank the Schwartz Reisman Foundation, the Adelson School of Entrepreneurship, and Dr. Yossi Marabi. Sharon Zahavi, Ofir Reichman, and the amazing Tali Ramon. The Canadian friends we met will probably meet again in the future and of course, the Israeli friends that without whom the trip would not have been the same.

See you at the alumni meetings!
