Clinical Intervention research

Assessing the efficacy of Parent-Infant-Psychotherapy (PIP). This study provides ongoing measurement of treatment outcomes and delineates mechanisms of change which underlie intervention efficacy. We assess efficacy of treatment provided to parents and infants within the clinical unit of our Institute. In addition to ongoing measurement of treatment efficacy, we employ a Theory-of-Change (TOC) framework which allows for nuanced identification of “mechanisms of change” (i.e. mechanisms which underlie intervention-related change). Delineating specific mechanisms of change are critical for refinement of the theoretical model (TOC) and treatment design.
