The Gazit-Globe Real Estate Institute held an online meeting on November 30, 2020, on the subject of housing prices in Israel. During the meeting, data from the Gazit-Globe Institute's Index of Housing Prices (GGII) for the third quarter of 2020 were presented, and a conversation took place between Dr. Efrat Tolkowsky, CEO of the Gazit-Globe Real Estate Institute, and Dror Marmor, real estate editor of Calcalist.
Among the topics discussed at the meeting were the methodology employed by the GGII, the differences between the GGII and the Central Bureau of Statistics' housing price index, the volume of transactions used to create the index, and trends in housing prices both at the national level and in different regions across Israel throughout the COVID-19 crisis.
