The first class of students specializing in real estate in the MBA program at the Arison School of Business presented their final projects to Israel’s leading real estate executives

On July 3, 2018, the first cohort of students specializing in real estate in the MBA Program at IDC Herzliya’s Arison School of Business presented their final projects - business plans in the field of real estate - to Israel’s leading real estate executives. The closing event for the real estate specialization was conducted in cooperation with the Gazit-Globe Real Estate Institute at IDC Herzliya, and was led by Moti Barzilay, Executive Vice President of Business Development at Alony Hetz Properties and Investments, and lecturer of the final course of the specialization.

 

Prof. Dov Pekelman, Dean of the Arison School of Business, and Prof. Eli Berkowitz, head of the master's degree programs at the school, congratulated the graduating students and wished them success.

 

Prof. Amnon Lehavi, head of the specialization, Dean of the Harry Radzyner Law School, and Academic Director of the Gazit-Globe Institute, congratulated the students and said, "the real estate managers and entrepreneurs trained in the program will lead the industry in the coming years, and will respond to challenges in the fields of housing and real estate in Israel with technological innovation and global thinking about real estate initiatives. "

 

Mr. Moti Barzilay thanked the team of mentors and consultants who accompanied the students on a voluntary basis, and said that, "we were all committed to one task: establishing a better generation of real estate."

 

During the event, the students presented their final projects - business plans in the field of income-producing real estate - to the "Directorate" which included Nathan Hetz, Owner and CEO of Alony-Hetz; Yaron Eshel, CEO of Gazit-Globe Israel; Avi Mosler, CEO of Amot; Gideon Avrahami, Head of Offices of the Azrieli Group; Prof. Amnon Lehavi, head of the specialization, Dean of the Radzyner School of Law, and Academic Director of the Gazit-Globe Real Estate Institute; Dr. Efrat Tolkowsky, CEO of the Institute, and Moti Barzilay.

 

The 22 students were divided into six groups and worked for several months on projects of six real estate divisions of Amot and Azrieli, under the leadership of Moti Barzilay and the course coordinator, Assi Agi, Senior Director of MAN Properties.

 

The students were accompanied by an exceptional team of experts: Shimon Abudraham, CEO of Amot Real Estate Enterprise & Development; Sharon Levy, Vice President of Business Development at the Azrieli Group; Clara Zwergel, Director of the Construction and Real Estate Sector at Bank Hapoalim; Yuval Talmi, Head of Business Real Estate at Bank Leumi; Jackie Mukmel, Owner of MAN Properties; Adv. Shai Adulam, Partner at Fischer Behar Chen Well Orion & Co.; Dr. Rina Degani, CEO of Geocartography Knowledge Group; Prof. Moshe Tzur, lecturer in the Real Estate Specialization; architect Mendi Rotbard, partner at Moshe Tzur Architects & Town Planners; architect Keren Yidov, partner at Oka Architects; Roni Zarnitzky, CEO of Zarnitzky Land Appraisers; Rafael (Koni) Konforti of Konforti-Raviv Land Appraisers; Adv. Zvi Shub of Zvi Shub Law Offices, and Nir Hai of Waxman Govrin Geva Engineering, Ltd.

 

Also in attendance were lecturers of the real estate specialization Dudi Daniel, Vice President of Real Estate at Psagot Investment House and Elad Madany, Managing Director of Brack Capital.
