The Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) is one of Europe’s leading business schools. SSE offers BSc, MSc and MBA programs, along with highly regarded PhD- and Executive Education programs.

About:

  • SSE is a private business school founded in 1909 on the initiative of Swedish business leaders.
  • SSE has about 70 partner universities and each academic year, SSE sends over 180 students abroad on exchange and hosts over 250 exchange students from all over the world. The majority of the exchange places are part of the Master's program, but some places are offered at the Bachelor's level.

Accommodation:

  • SSE manages a number of rooms and apartments, but since Stockholm is a highly attractive city in many ways, the selection is limited and SSE cannot – unfortunately – offer housing possibilities to all applicants. For practical reasons all internal options are fully furnished and you cannot bring your own furniture.
  • LIVING EXPENSES: Food 2 000, Housing 4 000 – 6 000, Local travel 620, Hobbies 1 800, Other (insurance, phone etc) 300. Total/month (SEK) 8720 –10720.

Location, Facilities & Visa:

  • Stockholm is the capital of Sweden and home to about 1.5 million people, making it the largest city in all of Scandinavia. There are well over 100,000 students in the city.

  • The city was founded in the 13th century and is situated on the east coast of Sweden. Stockholm is a very livable city: beautiful, safe, with a broad range of recreational activities, entertainment on offer, and a very welcoming society.

  • Starting November 1, 2022, the Swedish Migration Agency started a new procedure for stricter checks of passports in connection with application for a residence permit. All applicants for a resident permit, including exchange students, must show their passport at an in-person visit before the Swedish Migration Agency can make a decision.
