About


EDEM Escuela de Empresarios is a private non-profit foundation. It was founded in 2002 under the auspices of the Valencian Business Association (AVE) and its trustees and members are prestigious companies.


In 2014 EDEM became a member of Babson Global, an international initiative of Babson College, American university leader in entrepreneurship, and is the first Spanish institution member of this consortium.

 

Accommodation


  • EDEM does not make accommodation arrangements for incoming exchange Students.
  • However, it does offer advice about the different types of accommodation and help to find it, that could be: Halls of residence or renting a house, sharing a flat or living with a homestay family.
  • As a general guideline, below is a list of approximate prices for some services and products:
  • A single metro (underground) or bus ticket costs around €1.50.
  • A cinema ticket costs between €5 and €9.
  • A full breakfast –coffee, croissant or pastry, and juice– may vary between €2 and €4 depending on the establishment.
  • A daily set menu in a mid-range restaurant will cost around €10. Accommodation by category (approximate prices):
  • Hall Residence: between €400 and €1.000/month.
  • Room shared flat: between €100 and €250/month.

Location & Facilities


  • Valencia is located in the “Communidad de Valencia” in the east of Spain.
  • Valencia is the third city of Spain and is situated in the economical triangle of Spain (Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia).
  • Valencia has a large and clean beach, a variety of shops, friendly people, great food (for instance the superb “Paella Valenciana”), different museums, ancient buildings, interesting markets and much more.
  • There are many events and celebrations in Valencia throughout the year, like “Three kings”, “Americans Cup”, “Fallas”, “Medieval festival”, “Feria de Julio”, “Andalusian festival” and etc.
  • The “Ciudad de las Artes y Ciencias” (the city of arts and sciences), the historical beautiful cathedral of Valencia and the “Mercado central” are really worth a visit.
