  • Housing in Paris is quite expensive and it is important to determine what type of housing you are looking for according to your financial means.
  • A small place (room or studio) is between 600 and 1000 € for a student. You should add also a usual 2 month rent deposit and agency fees (if you look through a rental agency).
  • Insurance is mandatory and costs around 150 € a year. Remember to bring all your financial information (account sheets, parents' information and ID card, etc.) you will need it.

Location & Facilities

  • For the 4th consecutive year now, Paris has retained its place as the “Best Student City” in the world. With tons of quaint little cafés, student hangouts and museums to explore, the liveliest bars, nightclubs, and so forth.
  • Public transportation is easy to use in Paris. The Paris local transport system (RATP) provides travel by metro, bus and tram. RER (suburban trains) circulate within the 5 zones of Ile-de-France. Public transportation normally operates between 5:30 am to 1:00 am every day.
  • Fridays and Saturdays the Metro stays open one hour more. The RER tends to stop their service earlier than the Metro.
