  • Established in 1911, the University of Hong Kong (HKU) is the territory's oldest institute of higher learning. It has gained international recognition for its accomplishments as a research-led comprehensive university. With a population of over 30,000 students, there were over 10,000 overseas students enrolled from about 105 countries in the 2019-2020 academic year.

  • The Faculty of Law is Hong Kong’s leading law school. It has a cherished heritage and is ranked amongst the best in the Asia-Pacific region and is highly regarded for providing quality legal education and life-long learning opportunities. The law school was established in 1969 and matured into the Faculty of Law in 1984. Since its establishment, the Faculty of Law has become the breeding ground for some of the most distinguished legal professionals and community leaders in Hong Kong.

  • Nestled in Lung Fu Shan, Hong Kong, the university's chief campus has a central location with easy accessibility. HKU Station, which serves as the principal transport access point to the university and is near to the campus. The university's main campus that was created in the post-renaissance style has two courtyards and several other facilities. There are a number of canteens, restaurants, cafeterias, coffee shops and food kiosks located across the campus, offering food with a variety of cuisines and service styles to cater to various needs.

  • The allocation of housing is subject to availability. Due to shortage in housing resources, students are suggested to apply for accommodation as soon as possible.
