The Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) was founded in 1943. ITESM, which is often called "Monterrey Tec" or “El Tec”.


Since its foundation, ITESM has lived a continuous innovation process to respond to the educational demands that emerge from social, economical, scientific, labor and technological changes, and to the challenges that the country development faces.

Accommodation


  • There are three different options at the Monterrey Campus available for international students:
  • on-campus dormitories.
  • host family.
  • off-campus apartment/room for rent.
  • Exchange students studying at Monterrey can either choose to live in a residence hall or with a host family.
  • Those living in the dorms have access to a pool on campus, as well as to laundry facilities.
  • If you do not want to stay in a residence hall, you can choose to live with a host family.
  • This allows students to experience Mexican culture daily, as well as learn Spanish faster.
  • If you choose to live off-campus, Monterrey Tech will provide you with some information on off-campus housing possibilities but will leave it up to you to find your off-campus housing.

Location & Facilities


  • Monterrey, the capital of the state of Nuevo León, is the third largest city in Mexico.
  • Monterrey is considered one of the safest cities in Mexico, offering not only entertainment, but also a large number of schools, institutes, universities and further education centers. Thousands of foreign students live in Monterrey, making this city one which is full of life and diversity.
  • Monterrey’s downtown area is only a 5-minute drive from the Tecnológico de Monterrey. There you will find magnificent plazas and gardens, which are bordered by a pedestrian mall to the West and the Old Town to the East.
  • The facilities at the Monterrey Campus have been designed to create the perfect environment for motivating students while creating a balance between studying and recreation.
  • Students will have access to cafeterias, research laboratories, the gym, the library, the swimming pool and all the other facilities the campus has to offer.
