Shari Arison

 

is a business woman and social entrepreneur, influential in Israeli society, a generous and creative donor, who is dedicated to Israel and the Jewish people and is known for her personal involvement in a variety of quality-of-life initiatives.


As Chairman of the Board of Arison Investments, Shari Arison is a member of the Board of Directors of Bank Hapoalim Ltd., the largest bank in Israel; the Housing & Development Holding Company, the largest construction company in Israel, specializing in the management of construction of the largest and most complex projects in this field in Israel and the Yorkom Group, Israel's largest private communications company.


Shari Arison established a series of charitable organizations to encourage philanthropy and volunteerism, such as "Matan" and "the Essence of Life".


She has helped and still helps many organizations working to promote health, medical research, children, culture and art.


In this capacity, she continues the family tradition of philanthropy started by her late father, Ted Arison, as part of the Ted Arison Family Foundation.


Like her father, Shari too, believes strongly in the purpose of Reichman University and its slogan "Freedom and Responsibility" and is committed to promoting the University.


She donated a magnificent, modern building to Reichman University Campus, which houses the Arison School of Business.


In recognition of her outstanding contribution to philanthropy and volunteerism, to the future of the State of Israel, the Jewish People and Reichman University is hereby awarded to Ms. Shari Arison the Honorary Fellow on the 10th anniversary of Reichman University.
