​Effi Arazi z"l

 

A prominent figure in the international high-tech ​industry, Effi Arazi’s entrepreneurial and technological talent triggered significant br​​eakthroughs in both t​echnology and business. His appreciation for the connection between high-tech and academia led him to become an enthusiastic supporter of Reichman University.


Effi Arazi z"l has had a penchant for electronics throughout his life and demonstrated his vision and ability while serving in the Israeli Air Force, as a student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and at the Raytheon company, where he was a member of the team that developed the camera used to broadcast the first pictures from the surface of the moon. Soon after completing his education, he returned to Israel, becoming a pioneer of its high-tech industry. The monumental successes of the companies Effi Arazi established, such as Scitex and EFFI, serve as an inspiring example to future entrepreneurs around the world.


Throughout his career, Effi Arazi z"l has demonstrated his munificence as a mentor to numerous young people. In further expression of his ​profound commitment to future generations, he became an avid supporter of Reichman Univercity, generously sharing his wisdom and time with students and contributing the means to create a state-of-the-art home for computer science students. Reichman University responded to his warm friendship and generous support by naming this school the Effi Arazi School of Computer Science.​​
