Professor Rafi Melnick

 

Former President of Reichman University

Professor Rafi Melnick, Former President of Reichman University. Ph.D. in Economics, University of California, Berkeley. B.A. in Economics and Statistics and M.A. in Economics at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

 

In the past served twice as Provost. Dean of the Lauder School of Government and founded the School of Economics at Reichman University. Expert in the Israeli economy, his research and publications are in the fields of monetary economics, the Israeli economy, and applied econometrics. Developed the Melnick State of the Israeli Economy and published it monthly.

 

Former member of the Monetary Committee of the Bank of Israel. Prior he served as Deputy Director of Research at the Bank of Israel, Lecturer at the Hebrew University, and as a visiting Professor at Boston University and the University of California, Davis.

 

Served on the Advisory Committee of the Economic Council in the Prime Minister’s Office, member of the Advisory Committee to the Minister of Finance and director of the Macroeconomic team at the Director General of the Ministry of Finance, and a member of the Committee for Socio-Economic Change.
