  • פרופ׳ יאיר עמיחי-המבורגר מכהן כראש המרכז לחקר הפסיכולוגיה של האינטרנט (CIP) בבית הספר סמי עופר לתקשורת, אוניברסיטת רייכמן. הוא סיים את לימודי הדוקטורט בפסיכולוגיה באוניברסיטת אוקספורד. מיקודו המחקרי בהעצמה שהאינטרנט מסוגל להעניק לגולש ברמה האישית, הבינאישית, הקבוצתית והקהילתית. עבודתו זכתה לציון לשבח מ-Academy of Management ומארגון הספריות האמריקאי. בשנת 2005 יצא בעריכתו הספר The Social Net בהוצאת אוניברסיטת Oxford. ספרו השני Technology and Psychological Well-being ייצא לאור בהוצאת אוניברסיטת Cambridge בשנת 2009. בשנת 2103 יצא ספרו בעברית הטוב הרע והמכוער באינטרנט" הפסיכולוגיה של החיים ברשת, בהוצאת מטר ומהדורה חדשה מעודכנת ומורחבת של ספרו THE SOCIAL NET בהוצאת אוקספורד. בשנת 2017 יצא ספרו Internet Psychology בהוצאת Routledge.
