The Quality of Planning in Israel

On December 15, 2021, the Gazit-Globe Real Estate Institute at Reichman University and the Israeli Association of Municipal Engineers and Architects held an online meeting on the topic “The Quality of Planning in Israel.” This was the second in a series of meetings in the framework of the collaboration between the Gazit-Globe Institute and the Israeli Association of Municipal Engineers and Architects.

The meeting was moderated by architect Victor Abecassis, Even Yehuda municipality engineer. Speakers included architect Hana Hermesh, City of Herzliya engineer; Prof. Amnon Lehavi, academic director of the Gazit-Globe Real Estate Institute at Reichman University; architect Ruth Raz, deputy chief planner and director of the Urban Renewal Division of the National Planning and Building Committee for Priority Housing Areas; architect Gili Tessler, Tel Aviv district regional planner at the Israel Land Authority; architect Yoav David, city architect of Tel Aviv-Jaffa; architect Udi Kassif, founding partner of Mayslits Kassif Architects; Mordi Shabat, CEO of ICR – Israel Canada Rem Residence; architect Avishay Kimeldorf, chief of Project Management at REALITY Investment Funds; Dr. Yoav Lerman, founding partner of Planet Urban and Transport Planning, and Dr. Efrat Tolkowsky, CEO of the Gazit-Globe Real Estate Institute at Reichman University.
