    Dina Recanati was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt, where she joined the Zionist movement and became active in the Haganah. She developed an abiding dedication to Israel during these years, immigrating to Israel with her late husband, Raphael Recanati, who was an emissary during Aliya Bet. She has contributed greatly to life in Israel through her philanthropic activities, which emphasize her commitment to education, art and medical research.

     

    Dina Recanati instilled the family tradition of giving in her sons, Oudi and Michael Recanati, who joined her in establishing the Raphael Recanati International School at Reichman University, in memory of her husband and their father. She has focused her interest in young people and education in the school, which opens the doors of higher education in Israel to Jewish youth from around the world.

     

    Dina Recanati had a deep connection to Reichman University, and she has been a strong and loyal supporter of Reichman University since its establishment.
