Civil Litigation Practicum in cooperation with the State Attorney’s Office

This course provides an excellent opportunity to experience the fascinating, complex and dynamic world of civil litigation in court. As part of the course, the students will draft legal documents, cope with legal questions, and learn about formulating a legal strategy. Students will assist in preparing cases for preliminary proceedings, preparing witnesses and preparing for cross-examination in court.

The course will provide students with an opportunity to learn how a civil procedure is conducted in a court of law.

The program is based on a practical-legal tier and an academic-theoretical one:

As part of their practical training, students will be assigned mentors from among the State Attorney’s office, and will assist them in their daily work.

As part of their theoretical training, the students will listen to lectures and receive tools to understand civil prosecution, litigation in general and state legal representation in particular. The classes will include discussions on related issues.

This program caters to second and third-year students. Admission is based on a personal interview.

The practicum awards students six semester hours, and comprises 40 annual hours of academic training, as well as three tours.
