Third Year Final Projects

 

  1.  Venture Creation Capstone Project
    Designed for students that do not have pre-existing team or venture idea.  Students will dedicate the first few weeks of the first semester to find a team of 3-5  students and generate ideas for your project. Next, the teams will select one idea for their venture. From this point on, teams will develop their ventures throughout the year by performing multiple validations to their hypotheses and culminating in preparing a pitch for investors.  At the end of the year we expect students to reach a working  prototype /POC. In this track there will be 3-5 class meetings each semester with an academic mentor. You are expected to work independently in teams with the guidance of your academic mentor and industry mentor. Teams will meet with both academic advisor and industry mentor at least 3 times per semester. 

  2.   Accelerator Track
    Similar to the regular track outlined above, but designed for students that have an existing team with a clear idea or venture. The team must consist of 3-4 students from the entrepreneurship degree. The teams with the highest chances of success are mixed teams from Computer Science and Business Administration. There will be up to 5 teams accepted to this track upon screening process. In this track there will be 3-5 class meetings each semester with an academic mentor. You are expected to work independently in teams with the guidance of your academic mentor and industry mentor. Teams will meet with both academic advisor and industry mentor at least 3 times per semester. 
  3.   Innovation within organizations track
    The track focuses on innovation and entrepreneurship within existing organizations. Students will take a comprehensive course with leading lecturers from academia and industry, receive training and practical experience, provide consulting services and real solutions to innovation challenges of organizations from the Israeli ecosystem accompanied by experienced consultants. In addition, students in the track will be involved in conducting academic research, with the outstanding ones being sent for publication in leading journals. From time to time, the program holds a Hackathon in the field of innovation in organizations, where students can integrate as facilitators and innovation leaders.
    Participation in the program is intended for outstanding students of the School of Entrepreneurship and upon selection process.

  4.   Venture Capital track
    A program designed for outstanding students who wish to specialize in the world of venture capital and Accelerators. Only a small number of outstanding students will be accepted after screening process with participating Venture Capital  funds and Accelerators.
    The track is significantly different from the above, and consists of three parts:  
    a. Practicum in a Venture Capital Fund or Accelerator in the first semester (including submissions)   
    b. Practicum at the same Venture Capital Fund or Accelerator in the second semester (no submissions)   
    c. Submission of an academic consulting final paper of about 20-30 pages on a critical topic  for the Venture Capital Fund.
    Like the CO-OP program, in each of the semesters the students must perform practical work in the company offices for 10 weeks, a minimum of 16 hours per week, i.e. two full days per week . Screening process and decisions will be made together with the participating Venture Capital Funds.

  5.   Personal Research Track
    A track designed for outstanding students interested in a research track (mainly in preparation for graduate degrees)  The research will be in collaboration with one of the permanent faculty members at the Adelson School of Entrepreneurship only. The research will focus on topics relevant to Entrepreneurship or Innovation.  For this track, one student will be accepted for each of the permanent faculty members (max 7 students). In this track there will be no class meetings at all, but students are committed to approximately 10 hours of work per week on their research.  Submission of paper at the level of an academic article at the end of the year (approximately 30 pages).
