My Journey to Zell

 By Chen Nevo

Hi, I am Chen Nevo!

My journey of applying to Zell started far earlier than the formal application in December. It started when I heard great things about the program when I enrolled to study Entrepreneurship and Business. From hearing about the program and its connection to my degree, I knew I would apply to the program. Reichman University and the entrepreneurship school provide a rich bulk of opportunities. These unique opportunities help you grow and mature as an entrepreneur and businessman before the application. Seize all these great opportunities! Attend company visits, join masterclasses and workshops, meet mentors, and participate in various clubs. As one of my professors would say: "80% of success is just by showing up".

When applying to Zell, I felt I was heading into great uncertainty. In the first introduction, participants of Zell joined for Q&A and stayed after the session for more questions. Their insights were incredible and helped clear a bit of that uncertainty. Show up physically to these sessions. In these Q&A sessions, do not be shy! Ask questions and reach out! Remember that everyone was in this starting position. Everyone is grateful for that one person who was helpful, and everyone wants to be that person who gives back!

When advancing into the screening process, there was more uncertainty. I did not know what to expect. I just came with a mindset that I want to be myself and not try to fit a persona that I will need to role-play. I think that is my best recommendation for the screening process.

I want to take the opportunity to say that two classes helped me in the screening process. The first class was Entrepreneurship 101, where I learned the entrepreneurship fundamentals. We were encouraged to get out of the building and be proactive. Those proactive experiences were vital! The second class that helped me in the screening process was Organizational Management. In that class, we were given various management tools and skill sets that I immediately applied in my workplace. In these two classes, I think you should focus on the learning process and experiences and less on your grade. Maximizing these two classes is a fantastic investment. Gali and Galit, thank you!

I am eager to see where the future is heading. Now, the real hard work starts!
