PlantMigo is an innovative smart planter that helps users grow their plants with confidence and success. Its goal is to foster a special connection between the users and the plant by helping them understand the plant’s watering needs. Research shows that caring for plants has numerous benefits – it can reduce stress, boost mental well-being, and even increase pain tolerance. But failing can lead to hard feelings like disappointment and sadness. PlantMigo is designed to keep you engaged in the process of nurturing your plants, rather than replacing your care entirely. Our goal is to assist and empower you to actively care for your plant companions. With PlantMigo by your side, you'll have the tools and knowledge to keep your plant thriving.

How does it work?
PlantMigo is an IoT 3D-printed planter that uses an Arduino UNO microcontroller. To activate the product, you first give your plant a name, which enhances your sense of responsibility and connection to the plant. By attaching the name tag, the Arduino detects its presence with a TCRT5000 Infrared Reflective Sensor and turns it on. Using Paul Badger’s CapacitiveSensor Library, the hardware inputs electricity in the soil and checks the delay of its return, allowing for touch identification. When the user touches the soil, the Arduino measures the soil’s moisture with a corrosion-resistant Capacitive Moisture Sensor. PlantMigo then translates the state with sound and light using 2 RGB LEDs behind the watering icon and a 0.5W (8 Ohm) speaker with a 5V 5W 2 Channel Mini Stereo Audio Amplifier. This combination of feeling the soil's moisture and receiving feedback helps you learn about the plant's watering needs over the long term. In addition, if the plant reaches a critical point, PlantMigo will alert you with blinking lights. With PlantMigo, you will never kill your plants again.
