HybRead

HybRead is a unique platform that presents a different reading experience than traditional reading applications by improving the focus of the user on the text and by offering A selection of unique tools that help visual and cognitive processing.

What is it?

We created a new reading platform that addresses key challenges that readers face in traditional reading interfaces, mainly attention, orientation, and passiveness.

We aim to help everyone read better. Our prototype was developed carefully to be suitable for readers with ADHD, but also to improve the reading experience of anyone else. We tried to create an self learning system, that adjusts and customizes the relevant set of modules that fit each user personally.

How Does It Work?

HybRead is a web based application (HTML5, CSS3, JS). Once the user uploads an article the system analyzes and separates the text to defined paragraphs. The reader is encourage to focus on one paragraph at a time since only one paragraph is clear and the others are visually reduced. During the reading process, HybRead gives constant indication of progress and location. In addition, the user can select text strings and add them to the summary database which he can access in all times.
