What is it?
CubePolls is an interactive street installation enabling location-specific civic participation across the digital / physical divide.
The system is installed at a site affected by a city hall decision. It gives users access to official government data, other citizen feedback, and enables the participant both feedback and voting on the issue.

How Does It Work?
The system is embodied as a rotating cube suspended between two pillars, with each face of the cube highlighting a different aspect of the debated issue. One face shows official data by the city, one shows short video feedback clips by other users, and a third enables participants to record their own feedback video. Voting on the fourth face is registered, with aggregate results shown as LED bar graphs on the two pillars.
We believe that a large-scale, site-specific installation bridges the digital and physical aspects of participation by bringing back political discourse to the streets.
