Digital Biomarkers for Monitoring and Assessment of Quality of Life (QoL) measures for Patients with Chronic Pain

In this observational study, conducted in collaboration with Sheba Medical Center, we aim to evaluate and assess the correlation between digital markers and clinical measurements of quality of life (QoL) in patients who suffer from chronic pain.

200 patients who sign an inform consent are recruited to one of the following two cohorts - Patients who suffer from variable pain levels and chronic pain patients with no change in pain levels. Each patient participates in the study for a duration of 6 months.

We harness mobile phones data collected via designated app installed in the patients’ smartphones, to establish association between QoL rating obtained via digital markers and QoL rating obtained via clinically validated questionnaires filled in during study visits (paper SF-36 questionnaire and the short version of the BPI questionnaire), and a digital EQ-5D questionnaire filled weekly via the app.
