Dr. Michal Reifen Tagar | Reichman University

Dרץ Michal Reifen-Tagar is a senior lecturer at the Reichman University Baruch Ivcher school of Psychology. She is interested in the psychological factors driving social-political conflict and intergroup hostility and their consequences for democracy, cooperation, and societal and individual wellbeing. Her current research is focused on the development of political orientation, prejudice and attitudes toward inequality in children and adults; and on barriers and opportunities for deliberation across lines of disagreement. Dr. Reifen-Tagar received her B.A. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, was a Fulbright Scholar through the U.S. State Department Special Program on Conflict Resolution, and received her Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. Earlier in her career, Dr. Reifen-Tagar worked in policy development on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and was a visiting scholar at the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School. Her work has been funded, among others, by the Israel Science Foundation and the German-Israel Foundation.
