Library Policies

  • All library patrons are requested to be respectful of the rights of students and staff when using the Library's services.
  • Instructions of the library staff must be adhered to. Identification documents and personal information should be given upon request. 

 

To keep the library a pleasant and productive space, and to avoid damage to materials and equipment, please remember:

  • Maintain silence in the library to allow for productive study.
  • Maintain absolute silence in areas designated as such.
  • Keep voices lowered in areas designated as not absolute quiet zones; behave politely and respect the public areas.
  • Respect the library staff areas - enter or use the circulation desk, reference desks and offices by invitation only.
  • All library books, journals, videos, CD-Roms, and other materials are to be treated with care, and returned to library in same condition in which they were taken from our shelves.
  • No food or drink may be brought into the library.
  • No smoking (including e-cigarettes and all other electronic smoking devices) allowed in the library or near the entrance doors.
  • Seats may not be saved.
  • No conversing on cellular phones in the library. Phones are to be silenced upon entering the library.
  • The library is protected by an electronic security system to prevent theft of materials. If an alarm sounds when you enter or exit the library, you are required to present the contents of your bag for inspection.
  • Library computers are to be used for study purposes only. It is strictly forbidden to change the Reichman University website in any way, or to distribute advertising, or other private information of any sort via Reichman University computers.
  • Use of databases, electronic press, print-outs, and e-books requires users to respect copyright and contractual agreements between the library and the publishers/vendors.
  • Access and use of material is permitted to faculty and students of Reichman University only for purposes of study and research, and not for commercial use.
  • Any use of these databases for purposes other than those for which they were granted, which violates agreements between Reichman University and the publishers and/or infringes upon other copyrights will constitute cause to bring the perpetrator to Disciplinary Measures and/or take other legal measures available to the authorities of Reichman University.
  • Failure to abide by these regulations will result in administrative disciplinary action.
