Daniel Ayache

An artist, father of three, Daniel came on Aliyah from the Loire Valley in France.

He came alone at the age of 16 and studied at a Youth Aliyah (Aliyat Hanoar) high school.

In his youth he was already drawn to art and began to develop his talent as a painter for the school newspaper. His paintings and caricatures were notable for their unique style.

He fought in the Yom Kippur War after which he returned to France where he tried his hand at the art of cooking. He opened many restaurants in France and Israel, always looking for innovation and originality.

During the past decade he has returned to his passion for art through teaching and intensive periods of painting.

Daniel is a self-taught artist. He has overcome many emotional and technical obstacles in order to develop his own abstract and figurative style. His use of bold colors and unique textures expresses his love for the visual arts and, in particular, for painting. This is his refuge and his way of representing the complexity of his life.
