Founded in 1902, Bocconi University was the first Italian university to grant degrees in economics and is internationally recognized as a leader in the fields of economics, business, and law.

Students can choose from a wide range of business and economics courses offered in English. The business school was ranked 7th in Europe according to the Financial Times European Business School Rankings 2011, the MSc in International Management is 26th worldwide according to the Financial Times Masters in Management Rankings 2011 and the full-time MBA was ranked 28th worldwide according to the Financial Times Global MBA Rankings 2011.


Thanks to its network of alliances, there are more than 1200 exchanges every year between Bocconi and 200 partner universities worldwide and Bocconi belongs to two of the most prestigious international networks: CEMS (The Global Alliance in Management Education) and PIM (Partnership in International Management).

Accommodation


  • Università Bocconi is a city campus, an integral part of urban life and just five minutes away from the city center via public transport.
  • Since the inauguration in 1941 of the historic building in via Sarfatti 25, the Bocconi campus has undergone continuous evolution. Numerous buildings have been added over time, each one created by progressive architects and decorated with a variety of artwork. In fact University planning is focused on learning and on the needs of its students who live in these environments every day; but the University is also a part of the city's rich cultural context.
  • Today the campus is made up of several buildings which are located in a small area, where students can easily access the numerous structures and services available to them.

Location & Facilities


  • Exchange students can apply for accommodation in Bocconi Residence Halls through the ISD Housing Office, but housing is not guaranteed. Residence Halls close during summer and winter breaks.
  • Bocconi student residences have shared kitchens. Most students cook or eat in the self-service cafeterias located in the student residence and in the university buildings. There are also numerous snack bars located close to the University.
  • Students can contact the Bocconi Student Union-SEN (Student Exchange Network), which will help them upon arrival in finding a furnished apartment with other exchange students..

    Monthly costs:
  • Milan is a very expensive city in comparison to the general cost of living in Israel and students should budget at least €6000-€7000 per semester. The breakdown is as follows:
  • Housing: between 500 (shared bedroom in private apartments) and 1,200 euros per month.
  • Food: a complete meal at the university canteen is approx. 4 euros (reduced rate for exchange students).
  • Transportation: the youth monthly pass costs 22€ for students up to 27 years of age and 39€ for students older than 27.
