LUISS Guido Carli (LUISS - Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali – Guido Carli) is a small independent University with high academic ranking. It has a policy of selective admission and quality control of its academic standards and emphasises the international dimension of studies.


It was founded in 1974 by a consortium of private and public companies. The University has three faculties: Economics, Law, Political Science and a Business School

Accommodation


  • Most international students live in private apartments with Italian or international roommates in the neighborhoods near the university.
  • The Student Exchange Office does not take direct responsibility for providing accommodation. A private organization will help students, provided that the students send in the application forms before the deadline.
  • The average cost is between 350 to 400 Euros per month (plus utilities) for a place in a double room and 450 to 600 Euros per month (plus utilities) for a single room.
  • There are two canteens on campus and they offer meals on week days and on Saturdays for lunch. There are also a variety of pizza shops, snack bars, restaurants, etc where students can purchase food.

  • Among the most significant resources: plenty of museums (Capitoline Museums, the Vatican Museums, Galleria Borghese, and a great many others) aqueducts, fountains, churches, palaces, historical buildings, the monuments and ruins of the Roman Forum, and the Catacombs.
  • Rome is the 3rd most visited city in the EU: the Colosseum and the Vatican Museums are two of the most visited places in the world.
