Constructor University (formerly Jacobs University) is a private, independent university in Germany. Founded in 2001, Constructor University awards bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in the natural sciences, engineering, and the humanities and social sciences. Admission to Constructor University is highly selective and the language of instruction is English.

 

New Name


On November 28th, 2022, Jacobs Bremen University changed its name to Constructor University. With “construction” being a process of creating complex objects and ideas across all disciplines, it is understood as an essential skill which enables the next generation to solve the challenges of its times. Over 1.800 students from more than 110 nations on campus benefit from a unique interdisciplinary, foundational theoretical and practical education.

Accommodation


  • Constructor University's residential colleges provides an excellent way to socialize, organize sporting events, play or listen to music, meet with study groups, take part in cultural activities, and just relax. Additionally, students live in modern single rooms, in which a bathroom and small corridor are shared between two students.
  • These living arrangements allow for plenty of privacy, yet, make social interaction an inevitable and pleasant part of each day. There are kitchens on each floor of the colleges, a student lounge, game and TV rooms, snooker and billiard tables, a quiet study area, a college office and a meeting room.
  • All undergraduate students, including exchange students are expected to live on campus. Students live in single rooms and share a bathroom with another Constructor student.
