Dr. Zvi Baum

  • Zvi holds a B.Sc. (cum laude) in Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and M.Sc. in Computer Science and M.B.A. from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). He is currently in the final stage of his PHD studies at the University of Haifa, focusing on smart grids and the utilization of renewable energy in power generation. In his past career, Zvi served in various senior managerial positions in the high-tech industry that included, among others, VP and president of a business unit at NICE Systems and a co-founder and Managing Director of a startup company. Zvi teaches at the School of Sustainability; in parallel, he is involved in policy studies performed by the Natural Resources and Environmental Research Center at the University of Haifa on subjects related to the Israeli energy market and the impact of climate change on the Israeli water economy and agricultural sector.
