.Benign dissociation in groups and organizations"לנוכח החידושים האחרונים בפסיכולוגיה אינדיבידואלית נראה שספרה של ד"ר ורד בר ממלא חוסר שקיים בפסיכולוגיה קבוצתית וארגונית. ספרה עוסק בסכנת הפיצול, מסייע לקורא להתמצא בו ולהחליפו בשיח מאחה. למרות שבמקורה תיארה המילה "דיסוציאציה" תופעות פתולוגית, ד"ר בר משתמשת במונח זה להבנת תופעות בין-אישיות בחיי היום-יום שלנו, בקבוצות ובארגונים שאנחנו שייכים אליהם. לכן נבחר המינוח "דיסוציאציה שפירה", מושג שאותו טבעה ד"ר ורד בר".

Me and My Otherness. Or: Who is the Other on Screen who Looks Exactly Like Me

ABSTRACT
Due to ongoing social distancing and restrictions during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, virtual work has moved into the forefront of the counseling arena, and with that shift, new and sometimes challenging therapeutic dynamics have arisen. One of the unique experiences of conducting therapeutic work in the virtual space using video is that people can see themselves at the same time they see others. In essence, people meet others as well as their own “otherness.” This chapter deals with the virtual experience emerging when we encounter ourselves on the screen (individual therapy, consultation, and groups), arguing that on the screen we encounter disconnected aspects of ourselves that are less accessible to us or that we are less in touch with and therefore are experienced as “not me.” It is the “me,” but it is the presentation of the less sparkling, glamorous, attractive, or familiar self-states. This chapter explores what makes this encounter so intensely accessible visually, yet also rendering it so repulsively attractive. It illustrates examples from the author's virtual session experiences.
