Dr. Galia Schneebaum is an assistant professor at the Harry Radzyner Law School at Reichman University (IDC Herzliya). Her research is at the intersection of criminal law, sociological, and political theory, and focuses on emerging conceptions of wrongdoing in the law. Galia's research covers a variety of topics, among which are the legal regulation of authority relations, sex offenses, abuse offenses, workplace bullying, criminalization theory, and the legal regulation of boycotts. Her publications appeared in leading journals, among which are the Journal of Crim. L. & Criminology; Law & Social Inquiry; S. Carolina L. Rev. and Critical Analysis of Law.
Galia earned her LL.B., LL.M (summa cum laude), and Ph.D. from Tel-Aviv University; was a visiting scholar at the University of Toronto; and a Post-Doctoral fellow at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Galia received a number of prestigious awards, including the Cegla Prize for Best Article (2017); an award of the Israeli Junior Faculty Workshop (2014); the Dan-David Prize for scholars of exceptional promise (2009-10); and the Rozen-Zvi Prize for excellence in LL.M. studies (2007). As part of her academic activity Galia is the co-founder of the IDC Law & Humanities Workshop. -
