Zahi Arabov

Businessman Zahi Arabov, an honors graduate of Reichman University, established one of the leading private real estate companies in Israel that has achieved remarkable success in recent years and built a reputation in its field in Israel and the United States.

Mr. Arabov was born 42 years ago to Dalia and David Arabov. Since the 1960s, the Arabov family has been one of the most prominent and respected in Israel’s diamond industry, led by the father, David, and later by older sons Doron and Alon, who joined the field after completing their military service. Zahi, the youngest, chose a different business path from his family, turning to the real estate industry.

Upon his discharge from the IDF, Arabov began his studies at the Arison School of Business at Reichman University, specializing in real estate and finance, completing his degree in 2000. At the beginning of his business career he purchased several apartments in a residential building in Toronto, Canada, and marketed them to Israelis. Following the success of this initiative he acquired the entire building.

In 2006, at the age of 31, Zahi Arabov was one the founders of the Acro Group. “Acro” is Latin for “peak”, which represents Mr. Arabov’s and his partners’ aspiration to reach the top, to lead in innovation, planning, implementation, exceptionality, prestige and quality. The company is one of the foremost in Israel. It is involved in dozens of prestigious residential, commercial and office projects in Israel and is also a success overseas.

Zahi Arabov, who knew from an early age how to identify opportunities and meet complex challenges, quickly established himself as a successful businessman. Four years ago he was chosen by “Globes” economics magazine as one of Israel's 40 most promising young people and one of the "real estate professionals of the year" in 2013.

Zahi, his family and Acro Group contribute generously to social and artistic causes. Their public activities include contributions to the Diabetes Research Center at Tel Hashomer Hospital, and the transfer of revenues from the sale of art at "Tzeva Tari" fair to the Meyerhoff Center towards scholarships for outstanding art students from disadvantaged families. Zahi Arabov's connection with Reichman University did not end with his studies.

Zahi is the first graduate of the institution to make a significant donation to Reichman Univeristy, and with great joy we are pleased to announce that the front entrance to Reichman University, which begind construction this year, will be named after the Arabov family.
